Green Fabric Factory - nu.lethics fabric manufacturer has been awarded a certificate of achievement as one of the most environmentally friendly medium-sized factories in Taiwan. Eco-friendly systems include onsite wind and solar power, rain water and grey water storage for reuse, recycling program throughout the facility for paper, bottles and food waste.
Low Chemical Usage - nu.lethics manufacturing partners have been convinced to stop using bleach or any other chemicals traditionally used to produce performance fabrics, and instead work with the natural colour of the material and it's ability to absorb dyes.
Carbon Offsets - nu.lethics purchases carbon credits from CarbonFund.org to offset items that they cannot control such as shipping emissions.
Outsourcing - nu.lethics has taken many precautions to ensure suppliers and manufacturers are operating with the highest ethics and moral policies relating to working conditions, wages, minimum age and local community.
Packaging - nu.lethics has partnered with a reputable company to supply degradable plastic bags, which are needed to prevent moisture and dirt damage on shipping. Degradant catalyst in the plastics will lead to total degradation of the plastic into its original elements at the molecular level.
Labels - nu.lethics has hang tags made from 100% recycled materials. Woven labels are replaced with heat-sealed/silk-screened labels as this is more comfortable for the wearer, as well as saving energy and waste from making the woven labels.
Fabrics - nu.lethics utilize bamboo, a hugely renewable resource instead of using chemicals to provide fabric functionality. Also at least 46% of our fabric is of polyester made from recycled sources such as pop bottles.
